David Brandt Berg was just such a man.
His mission was to follow his Master, Jesus, who had said, "If you continue in My Words, then are you My disciples indeed, and you shall know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free."
Uncompromising in his quest of bringing the Truth of God and the Love of Jesus to a darkened and loveless world, David uncovered the truths of the Bible and through his writings brought millions into a living relationship with Jesus.
Born in 1919, his life spanned the better part of the 20th century and remained a paradox to those who did not know him well...

David's single greatest achievement was the creation of The Family International, (or simply, The Family) which holds the distinction of being perhaps one of the most unique and amazing phenomena of our times.
A movement of 7000 men and women from over 100 nationalities and spread out across 90 countries, The Family comes the closest to the model of community living set forth by Jesus and His early disciples. Members of The Family work day in and day out in a remarkable mission of bringing love, joy, hope, peace and purpose to the peoples of the world.
